Fly is the theme for the CAS challenge this week. I told myself that I would use the first image I found that could be morphed into this challenge and these two stamps were sitting together in the first drawer I pulled out (I keep most my stamps in a giant stackable tool chest in my craftroom closet - lol). This was my mother's stamp so it is special to me because she loved it.
Stamped the paper, slapped on some water colors, and was done in no time. It lacked something so I added another layer to the umbrella and some silver stickles to the wind. I know my Mom would have loved this card. I sure miss her. I used to hang on to her when things were rough - but God knows best and now I have to hang on to Him.
Fun challenge, Jen!

Oh my gosh Nancy I love this image. House Mouse looks like he is having a great time flying in the wind and the dimension you added to his umbrella is just perfect to add a bit more interest to the card.

Nancy: Your little mouse is really riding the wind there. It is nice he reminds you of your Mum. Beautiful coloring and I love CAS cards. I will check out this challenge when I am feeling better. Hugs, SuZ

Oh, I loved reading about how much your Mom loved this stamp .... I love it, too! Your thoughts about holding on to God now that your Mother is gone, bring tears to my eyes. I know just what you mean!!! He is such a faithful Father and Friend and it's wonderful to lean on Him.

Gee I wish I had stamped with my mom-she was so much more creative than I am. What a great memory-I might keep that one for myself knowing that and frame it. It is very pretty.

Nancy, I love this card so much! I especially love the special meaning it has for you. The watercolor of the sky is perfection and the extra dimension that you gave to the umbrella was genius. Straight to my faves.

Oh this is so cute, brings a smile to my face and I am sure it would your mom too. I was also very close to my Mom and wish so much that I could still talk things through with her.

This card is so cute! I have not seen this particular House Mouse image, but it is wonderful and your coloring really brings it to life. I got a little teary-eyed reading your description about missing your mom and hanging on to God. I can so relate! Thank you for sharing your adorable card and your sweet words.
