I didn't use a background stamp because I didn't have one that gave the pattern I wanted. I stamped my snowflakes on the vellum and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then turned it over and stamped my pine cones, holly leaves, and berries in Early Espresso, Shaded Spruce, and Real Red. I decided to die cut it and cut a slightly smaller oval into the Real Red panel and adhered both to the white card base.
I heat embossed the sentiment and added some pearls to complete the card. What a beautiful result, when my DH looked at the card, he really examined it and then asked me how I did it!

I like the way you used different stamps on each side - the crispness of the embossed flakes and softness of the Christmas foliage is a lovely contrast.

This worked really well for a Christmas card..I like the three colors for the back stamping. How funny about your DH wanting to know how you made it....it's our little secret, right? ha

WOW, Catherine, what a marvelous rendition of the TLC technique! Just love your card layout...oval such a beautiful way to display this technique...love the stamps you've chosen and the colors!
