I usually make my SIL leafy birthday cards, this year is no exception. DH saw me embossing the white leaves and loved them. He was horrified at the thought I was going to stamp on the back, but he liked the look. It was at his suggestion I tried matting it on black rather than white, and thanks to the vellum effect, you can indeed still see both colours. I used alcohol inks on glossy photo paper to create a quick piece of card in fall colours to use for the sentiment, and decided to cut a few little leaves to add to it.

That Ciaran, he has a very good aesthetic!!!!!!!! But he needs to trust yours. This is gorgeous, I'm glad you didn't waste the other piece, two super beautiful cards.

I vote with DH, the black is elegant!
