It's Thursday again, the sun is shining, but the temperature feels like Autumn. As I went for my walk this morning noticed the starting of the landscape taking on the fall colors. Seeing the WT915 challenge today is close to my heart- farms. Thinking what I could paint thought of the little farm we pass when walking. They have horses, goats, pigs along with three highland cows. Yesterday Stacy gave us a challenge to paint hair. I need a lot of practice. The highland cows came to mind. They are very interesting to watch with their coat of messy hair, long horns and short legs. Using a Hetty Clare digi printed it and practiced the technique from yesterday. TFL

The Highland cattle are certainly great for practicing hair techniques. There is a park near us (not the one on my work commute) where they have a few, and I always enjoy seeing them. This one is lovely - and obviously enjoying her floral snack!

This is too funny, Linda! I would not like any type of animals eating my prized flowers. She is so Cute though, I have to admit that much. Beautiful coloring on her. Love it~

I guess I didn't know about highland cows...this one is certainly quite attractive. Nice "hair" and flowers. Your walk sounds lovely...The switch flipped here, too...91 the other day, today's high, low 60s!

Love the sense of humor, with the cow chomping on a flower pulled from the garden. I have never seen (or even heard of, until now) a Highland cow, but after seeing your fun painting, I hope to drive past one at some time.

I love how the things in nature you get to experience with your daily life, you so wonderfully recreate for us with your art, Linda. This is outstanding.
