I made two cards using this sketch design. This is my first card.
I don't have any octagon shapes, so I used hexagons. I have two different sized punches, so I punched 2 shapes in the larger size and 3 shapes in the smaller size.
I decided to make a winter card since I had just received a new paper pad. All of the paper used is from the same pad (even the solid plum color), so they coordinate perfectly together.
I stamped, colored, and die cut the two snowmen, using marker colors that match the patterned paper. I attached these to the two larger shapes. I stamped the sentiment on one of the solid colored shapes.
The hardest part of the card was positioning all of the shapes into something cohesive and appealing and not a jumbled mess! I re-arranged the shapes many times, and I like the final grouping that I ultimately glued down.
