Take a big dollop of shabby chic, a dash of CAS, a pinch of cute and a sprinkling of crafts and you will discover the beautiful Gallery of this week's Featured Stamper, Amanda aka havonfamily. Gorgeous cards and inspiration galore. I absolutely fell in love with the lace on this card along with Amanda's beautiful coloring and design: Hello by havonfamily at Splitcoaststampers
I kept a lacey/scroll edge and flowers, but changed to a die, different images and colors. I turned my card landscape to accommodate this die.
I don't have lace, at least not beautiful lace like Amanda's, in my stash. I really wanted to capture the luster of her lace so I used glitter paper for my die. Oh my, that was an exercise in patience. I knew it would be tough to die cut so I ran it through about 8 times; then I added a shim and ran it through 4 more times; than another shim and a few more times; and then I broke out the craft knife. A few curly-ques were sacrificed in the process. But I am super happy with the results.
I have been following the progress of Dawn (aka dawnmercedes) treatments on her facebook page and wanted to make an encouraging card for her. I googled to see which color rose represented hope -- and, yep, it's green. But I wanted something brighter so I went with yellow which symbolisms good health and happiness along with friendship. I hope it brings a bit of sunshine into her day.
Congratulations Amanda on being selected this week's Featured Stamper. Your Gallery is fabulous and I have my eye on another to possibly CASE if time permits. I hope you have a wonderful week and enjoy the many cards you have inspired. And, I hope everyone will have a week filled with sunshine, happiness and friendship. TFL

Debbie this is such an encouraging verse for Dawn and for us all. Love how pretty your yellow roses are and that glittery diecut adds so much. So 12 time you say, lol. That is a lot but it paid off!! You get a star for perserverance! This is sure to cheer Dawn right up!!

I'm Speechless! Utterly Speechless! Bravo on a Sublime card CASE! I Love that you used a diecut instead of lace (it looks WAY better than the lace on the CASE card), it brings that touch of sparkle and Elegance that makes me just drool! Your flowers are expertly colored in and are so cheery, I know Dawn will love and cherish your Beautiful effort! Simply put, this card is even better than the original you are CASE'ing! I absolutely Love it!
Thank you for playing along and CASE'ing one of my cards, I'm absolutely honored!

Debbie I always enjoy reading your details and this is a fitting tribute to Amandas charming Gallery. Also just wondering whether you are cutting from the back side of the glitter paper? Still need shims & patience but that works much better for me. The crystals on the front interfere with a clean cut. Of course, if you knew this I did not help LOL!

What a beautiful representation of the original card, while adding your own stamp to it (pun intended!). Both cards are lovely and look like they could be companions in the same boxed set. Your coloring is excellent, I love the cheerful yellow. Your patience with the glittery die cut paid off - the result is stunning! Perfect sentiment to send to your friend to inspire hope (and a good reminder that I needed as well when I read it).
