We are going to a joint memorial service later today for two good friends in their 90s who died within a few weeks of each other. Both had become Iâll and had been in separate nursing facilities so Iâm sure their reunion was joyous! I got to know them both in my dogsitting job as one lived with my clients (their grandmother) and the other came and visited often. I enjoyed their company on my visits there!
I was also working on my backlog of Featured Stamper challenges and was inspired by this card by Candy, aka Stampcandy:
I kept the overall layout and the metallic butterfly die cut and jewels, changed the color scheme and sentiment.
I covered a vanilla card front with some leafy paper from a Carta Bella botanical pad, then die cut the butterfly from Tim Holtz metallic cardstock and glued in place. I added a light green gem to the butterfly and scattered a few more on the card front (hard to see in this photo). I stamped the sentiment in dark green ink on a vanilla scrap and die cut with the oval shape from the Hello Beautiful/Beautiful Shapes set. I attached with foam tape and added a dark green gem to the sentiment piece.
Candy, I hope you enjoyed your FS week!

I love the greens and the leafy bg for that lovely butterfly. A wonderful CASE and a lovely card to express sympathy and support for someone. Sorry for your loss and I agree that their reunion was joyous indeed. Hugs
