Hello! This week Brenda has brought us a white flower tutorial by CreationsCeeCee! It's a lot of fun, we hope you will join us!
In keeping with what I learned last week, I am going to list what I love and what I learned.
I love the center and tips of the flower.
I love how the background looks.
I love that my gouache was the right consistency this week.
I learned I need to add a point to my petals.
I learned I need to practice flowers. A lot. (I actually knew that already) hehe
I learned that I would like a different shade of gold. CeeCee's gold is so pretty.
I learned I need a different brush for outlines. I used a 0 but it was still too big for the gold. (I also knew this already as well, LOL)
I learned in trying to make a large flower, (I tend to go small) I overcompensated and made it too large).
I think that about covers it!
No sentiment because I am not sure it's good enough to give away.

Angie, your card is beautiful and certainly is good enough to give away so go ahead and put that sentiment on it. I love the colors in the background. I used a gold pen instead of painting the gold.

It is certainly beautiful, Angie! The rich background colors really bring out the brilliant white blossom. And yes, do let this beauty out to bring some 'happy' to someone. :-)

You only think it might not be good enough to give away, because it's not what you had pictured in your head. It is beautiful, fun, and whimsical. This card could cheer anyone up!

Beautiful, Angie. I like that you did different colors and petals. This came out wonderfully. Impressive. Hugz

The second I saw the thumbnail of this card, your flower shape put me in mind of a dogwood flower. I love that unique shape! And while you may feel you overcompensated on the size, I think it looks awesome - in fact I probably would have gone a bit bigger - might a well make a REAL statement - lol
BTW - I have a Princeton AquaElite # 4 Long Round (purchased by accident) Once I got used to the super long bristles, I can use it to paint fine wispy lines.
