This is my card for CC911, Chris is our hostess and she chose flirty flamingo, sweet sorbet and soft seafoam for her color trio. Dessert option this week is any kind of embossing.
A friend asked me to make a card for her friend who is battling breast cancer. So, I thought I would try to make one with this week's colors.
My design is a funfold- it's called a triangle easel card. Here is a link for a video of how it's made.
My card is emphasizing the flirty flamingo color but I did get all 3 of them in. I used the Baseball Cap die from CottageCutz and cut it from Stampin' Up dsp. I added the ribbon from the Hope die to the cap front. This die is also from CottageCutz.
To allow the card to stand up. I used the Hope die again and the ribbon symbol is the anchor. I attached this to soft seafoam cardstock.
The sentiment on the card front is stamped in watermelon wonder ink- sub for sweet sorbet. The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up "charming sentiments" stamp set.
I finished off my card by adding a few flirty flamingo enamel dots. I hope you can play along with us. Chris has chosen some great colors for your card projects.

What a wonderful and encouraging card. I think that baseball hat is the perfect theme (and I'm glad to see a non-botanical card with these colors). Great use of the fun fold too!

Awesome. Love the encouragement. Fabulous card design. Love how it can be displayed. A wonderful reminder to hold on to faith and to keep on fighting. The ball cap is so cute. Wonderful in the challenge colors.

What a nice gesture to make this card for your friend's friend. I know she will love it! The colors are perfect for a breast cancer patient, the baseball hat is so "chic," and the fun fold and the clever use of the ribbon in place of the "O," it all comes together to make a terrific card!

Oh, what an inspirational card. What a happy coincidence that the colors align with the card's theme. It's beautifully done. I'm sure your friend's friend will love it.

Wonderful card for someone who is going through a life struggle, Mary. The more elaborate format adds another dimension. Sure to lift the friend's spirits. Beautifully done.
