Chris is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us such a pretty palette to work with: Soft Sea Foam, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sorbet. The dessert option is "any kind of embossing." These colors and dessert option seemed tailor-made for me to try out my new die and embossing folder set, Alstroemeria.
I ran two pieces of white cardstock through my embossing machine, one at a time. I set one aside for the base layer, and cut the flower from the other one with the included die. Using Copic markers close to the challenge colors (plus the neutrals, Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso), I colored the flower, then glued it back into its position on the white layer. This was mounted on a top-folding white card base.
Stamped and die cut the greeting and added three Sweet Sorbet enamel dots, and the card was done. This card goes to my daughter and son-in-law in celebration of their 31st wedding anniversary, this Wednesday.
These colors were such a delight to work with; I can't wait to see what you create with them. See you in the gallery!
Accessories: Alstroemeria embossing folder and die (SSS), Copic Markers, Essential Celebrations die (Waffle Flower), In Color Matte Decorative Dots, Dimensionals

GORGEOUS! Beautiful coloring on the die cut. I luv the 3D EFs with matching dies. Have not seen this one before - if I had, I would already own it. Anyone can do the embossing; the coloring makes it a standout. Faved

What a lovely set that embosses and die cuts! I thought you just colored the bloom on the embossing - which would have worked but is so much cleaner with it's own die cut - your bloom is lovely and perfect in this weeks colors!
