Angie is hostess this week for the WCW challenge. I love the challenge she gave us and that it was easy.

I always like to paint a sky and create some stars. The stars were splattered with Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White and a small brush. I gave the sky a comet, also.
After this, I learned what scumbling means. Kolbie Blume, the artist, explained in the tutorial that scumbling means painting random blobs across the page. That is how I made the trees.
This is a fun one and I hope you'll join us this week. I think this will be a masculine card for me or I think it would make a pretty card of faith...or whatever you want it to be.

Wow! Your night sky is so striking! You achieved beautiful color and light in your sky! I think you did a great job with your scumbling! Ah! You also included a commet! I love it! It's Beautiful!

Beautifully done, Brenda, a fabulous starry night sky! I had to look up the meaning of ‘scumbling’, after seeing Angie’s card, and the meaning I saw said to ‘make something less brilliant in colour or to soften the colour or lines’.

Not only were my eyes delighted by your card, but I even added to my vocabulary today! Thank you, Brenda! Who knew "random blobs" could look so, well, real?! Scumbling sounds a bit out-of-control for my Type-A personality, but that's why I like watercolor... such a stark contrast to my usual self, allowing me to let loose just a bit and hopefully, prayerfully, and all fingers (plus ten toes!) crossed, something pretty will emerge at the end.
This is something pretty, indeed, that you've given us today!

You really achieved the feeling of a huge comet zooming through the sky, Brenda. Wonderful watercoloring of the entire scene. Great job with the trees too.

So beautiful, Brenda! I love the colors of your sky and the depth in it. Your trees are so lovely too! Yes, I agree it's a very versatile painting. I think I want to make more!

You did a fabulous job on all of this and your card looks just like one of our early fall nights in Alabama. Great scumbling - I skipped that part but may try it on my next card as I know I will do this again!
Lovely work of art, my friend! Hugz
