Scraps? What Scraps?!

Photo Details
Poster: jkanack

I wish I could remember what this technique is called. Natasha Foote did a video on it but maybe she isn't the first to do it. I really love this technique.
All of the strips started life as plain white cardstock, different widths and lengths, different weights. I used all the green DOx inks I had and sponged them. Some I embossed with embossing folders, others I stamped in black. I mounted them on a white piece of cardstock after adhering a sheet of the double sided adhesive, trimmed them, cut three circles down the middle, then cut the panel and the circles in half. You get two cards for the effort of one.
One of these will go to our teaparty recipient, Cori; obviously I chose green and gold is my other G word. The other one will go for a swap I'm in, using scraps. The leaf die was a three leaf design, I cut it apart.

Gorgeous and I love that you get two amazing cards with this. This technique is definitely a keeper but I think it's your great inking, embossing, stamping that make it look so great. Awesome card. Fav'd.

Oh, a two for one, that's always a winner. They do look like scraps, amazing to think you created them from scratch just for this. They are beautiful, Jean.

I have got to try this technique. I love your wonderful greens and the great use of these scraps and that you can get 2 cards from one. I need to try this and just need to get more time in my craft room to do this technique.
