This is for the Teapot Tuesday "A Day at the Beach" challenge. The challenge description said the recipient likes the beach & "anything funny & inappropriate." I had to think about that, but finally remembered the "Stay Salty" set, and thought that would be perfect.
I stamped the sailboat onto a scrap of vellum bristol, colored it with my Prismacolor pencils, & die cut it with the coordinating die. For the scene, I ink blended the sky with Broken China Distress ink, the water with Salty Ocean (almost cliche, I know! LOL), & the beach with Antique Linen, adding a little Brushed Corduroy for the wet sand area. I did the anchor by inking up part of the stamp with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink (for a bit of patina), stamping it, then inking up the remainder with Ground Espresso Oxide & stamping that. After I die cut it, I used my paper piercer to poke a hole in the top of the anchor, & threaded through a piece of thin jute twine. I wrapped that loosely around the anchor, & glued it in a couple of spots to hold the twine in place.
I die cut several clouds from white cardstock, & arranged them in the sky. I stamped the greeting on 1 cloud with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink, to match the water color, die cut it with the cloud die, added 2 more clouds behind it to give it some dimension, & glued it in place. I glued down the sailboat & anchor, & added "foam" along where the water hits the sand with my Snow Marker. To finish, I added my panel to a white card base. I hope Marla (the recipient) gets a kick out of this!

Awesome beach scene and I love every element you added here. The "foam" at the shore is fabulous as is your ink blending throughout. And, how can you not use Salty Ocean for water (it's my favorite TH color), LOL. Love that you added that bit of twine on the anchor. Those little details really make a card shine. Topped off with that fun, snarky sentiment...yeah, Marla is going to love this. Fantastic card.
