Iâve missed it here! Been busy for the last two months and only did a little cardmaking, but I had a nice session yesterday and got to catch up on a few missed features stampers. This one is for Sue, AKA stampinspooky, and was inspired by this card:
The ghosts on Sueâs card reminded me of a bag of tiny Halloween dies I got last spring that had a bunch of ghost shapes in it, so I dug those out to make this card. I pretty much followed the same layout, substituting die cuts for Sueâs stamped ghosts, and using a different shape and position for the sentiment.
I cut a piece of orange paper a bit smaller than a white premade card front. I cut three half-inch strips of paper from a Doodlebug Designs Halloween pad and attached to the edge of the orange piece. I die cut the three ghosts from white cardstock and positioned them where I wanted them on the card and marked the spots with pencil in the eye and mouth holes, then took the shapes away and colored little blobs of black with a sharpie. Then I put the ghosts back and glued in place. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white cardstock and attached with foam tape to the piece, then attached the whole piece to the card front with more foam tape. My first fall/Halloween card for the year!
I hope you enjoyed your time as Featured Stamper, Sue! I enjoyed your gallery and pinned a bunch of cards for future inspiration!
USEIT2022: Used the Halloween paper pad and the ghost dies for the first time, and the sentiment stamp is an old friend that comes out every year.
