Lee, I like the sketch very much. I used a Carabelle background stamp of stars and went to town with Distress blues and purples. Cut into strips, heat embossed more stars in gold.
This is for Kavan, our young man who is dealing with a bunch of health issues. I don't have much appropriate for a 12 year old boy, since I have no young men in my life...well I do, but they are not 12. So in searching for some ideas, I came across the star stamps and decided that he would be an all-star to me. That dark blue paper is almost like a cloth, in some ways like corduroy. I have funny stamps but not for a young boy. Thanks, Jen.

I love how you have created your own background paper. So creative with what you have.

corduroy looks real.. great masculine card. I like the way you used the dark paper and the lighter strips.. the stars and sentiment just top this card off.

EVERYONE loves stars and wishes upon them -- at least I still do. I love this design and your star stamping is gorgeous as is that navy card base. It does remind me a bit of corduroy. Great card.

SUPER card, Jean! Love your handmade sketch strips with gold embossed stars, plus your 3D star embellishments! The angled strips are a nice touch and add wonderfully to the overall look. (I thought about that or fishtail cuts, but in the end stuck to the script...LOL!)
