Kia has given us a great video on painting a geranium. I tried her technique of sketching, and it didn't go well. Decided I needed a reference photo or flower. This worked much better as I had the flower to look at. Count how many petals, look at the shape and colors of the leaves. My choice of brushes was a small # 2 flat brush. The painting was small enough to make a card. Added a border with the green copic marker. The geranium is not my favorite flower, but it grows well in pots. Painted the traditional red, but there are so many different colors. Hope you have a chance to join us and share your painting. TFL

Linda, you are so very talented. I remember cards you posted with charcoal sketching. I don’t think I have ever seen a card of yours that was not breathtaking!! For me, I just can’t seem to get the hang of water coloring. This is beautiful!! Oh and I love geraniums

Beautiful flowers - great painting. I have red and pink outside - I think a photo might be needed to work from as I am feeling a little anxious about this one!
