Our TPT challenge this week is turn a reminiscence into a card and my thoughts immediately went to my mother (who was also my best friend) who would have been 98 next week had she lived eight years longer. Anyhow, she loved gardening, so I am dedicating this card to her memory. She particularly loved red geraniums, so of course I had to include a pot of them on the top step. Unfortunately for me, I did not inherit her green thumb, although she did nurture my faith in our Lord and Savior - an even greater gift.
The stamps I used are from one of my favorite OLD Stampin Up sets called Little by Little (1994!!), and the sentiment is from SU Friendship Gardens (2000) - so, a bit more reminiscing of those great, detailed and now classic stamp sets of years past.

What a fabulous gardening scene you've made. I almost feel like I'm there with you, checking up on the geraniums. I'm sure your mother would be honored. I also like the idea that the stamps are helping you reminisce, too. Stamps from 1994 predate my entry into the hobby.
I have this old set! Love your card and story. My mom would be 97. She has been gone 8 years, and I miss her! She had a green thumb, too, and I don’t! I love how you made your card a side step card. It is a wonderful garden scene card!

What a special tribute garden. Full of lovely flowers. My Mum would also have been 98 and she loved her garden too. She used to grow geraniums as hobby and sell them. She had a huge collection. Your card brings back so many memories.
