This was my first attempt at foiling with the laser printer, and I used a piece of card which had a bit of a wrinkle in it. Unfortunately some of the foil came off that part - but to be honest, it looks much better in real life because I angled the photo to show the foiling as much as possible. If you don't recognise the script, it's the old Irish alphabet which was in common use till the late 50s.
I stamped and masked the books, sponged in the green, stamped the sentiment and then stamped, coloured and fussy-cut the cat and played around with the best position for it. I used some Crafter's Companion DP, punched with a Marvy punch for the corners and threaded with black thread. To pick up on that, I made the last minute addition of three black faux brads.

I'm always amazed at the details of your creations. The added foil adds a rich element for your well-designed card. Thanks for the facts about the Irish alphabet. TFS

A great card, and a super idea for a challenge. It will be fun reading in the gallery today!

Beautiful...I love the foiling! I'm not surprised that Dublin is known for its literature...so many famous authors, the amazing library at Trinity College and the Book of Kells.
Aside from books, etc... what about Queen of Tarts? I've been using my little mug for a bit of wine in the evening...
