Today's my first day ever mixing skin tones for painting. I was always afraid to try to attempt it. I found the video tutorial to be an excellent way to learn.
In the video, the artist mixed orange and red to create skin tone. Well, as it turns out... I already had a reddish and orange-y-ish color mixed already mixed from yesterday, To me, the colors look liked mud, but I kept them on my pallet anyway. It's a good thing that I did because when I added a ton of water, they looked kind of like a skin tone! I feel like the mixture worked but I was disappointed that watered down paint seeped into the background. I not mad at it though!
Kuretake Gansai Tambi #46 was used for the hair, #32, #44 along with lots and lots of water were used for the skin. #36 and #61 used for the lips and eyes respectively.
Thank you for another opportunity to push myself once again and try something new.

Wonderful painting of the lovely lady. Wasn't it fun to see how adding a lot of water gave us a skin tone color? The more we paint the better we have a feel of what the paint will do. Glad you are continuing with the challenges. We sure enjoy seeing what you create for the gallery. Fav'd

Well, this is just a beauty. I love the stamp and you did great with the skin tones and her pretty hair. I love the eye shadow, also, and the wash around her. Super work.
