This week we are sending some Teapotter cheer to Nick who is battling lymphoma. Nick loves to camp and so do I! Yosemite is my favorite spot in the world (so far); ergo it's also my favorite spot to go camping. So naturally, I hunted down a line drawing of Yosemite Valley and used my DOX to watercolor the scene. If you see paintings/pics of this view, all the mountains on the right are gray except for Half Dome which is the same rusty browns as the mountains on the left. And whenever you are in the High Sierras, you are surrounded by gorgeous giant trees -- pines, sequoias, redwoods. Idyllic.
This card is pretty straight forward: print, color, cut, paste. To make the layer for the arch, I traced the outside of the die onto blue cs and fussy cut. The sentiment is computer generated using Anderlacht font (and I did stretch it a bit for this card).
I hope the many cards head Nick's way will bring him some joy and remind him of happy days in the woods with family and friends. I have often said and will continue to say, I think nature is the best balm for our souls. I hope Nick feels some of that peace and joy from our collective outpourings. I hope you do today as well. TFL

Beautifully done, Debbie! I have yet to make it to Yosemite, and my heart is heavy that they are facing wildfires right now. This is just the kind of balm Nick needs! Love how you framed the image with the embossed panel and the die cut trees!

A really super card. I've been to Yosemite and was in awe of the mountains and sequoias. Nick has asked me where I want to go when he is over this chemo. I said out west. Right now the only view he can have us the backyard or go to the beach. He is not allowed inside with crowds of people

That looks like a lovely scene, Debbie. Thanks for explaining about the rock formation! There's a cliff I've seen in one of the Greek islands which is two colours, and it's so unusual. No wonder you enjoy camping there. Nice incorporation of an arch, too.
