I went to a card party a few months ago, and my Stampin' Up demonstrator duo (Daralee Peterson and Luci Kirschbaum) had a card design using the new "Whiskey Business" stamp set. I loved their card design idea, but decided to enlarge it and tweak it here and there to make it more mine.
I gave it a new, enlarged and ink-distressed white card base, a new, ink-distressed punch-sized panel to host my changed sentiment, re-positioned brads, plus a pale blue decanter, glass, and ice shaded with Copic Markers. I also used Copics to color my whiskey and highball drink, getting better shading, blending, and highlights than could be achieved with the water-base markers provided.
A check for possible SCS challenges for my "Challenge Catch-up" project found 14 challenges to enter, yay! yay! yay!, and they are listed below:
1) ABC17B2 - Alphabet Challenge--Letter B/ Brads - 6/1/22. I put two brads on the sentiment base panel. I colored them with Cajun Craze Blender pen.
2) S2S22MAY - Save to Stamp (aka Stamp 2 Support One Another) Challenge/ Wine... - 5/3/22. A monthly challenge originally to make cards to earn credit to purchase more stamping products, but evolved into a place to fulfill the monthly challenge, make friends, and support one another. Challenge: It's National Wine Day. Feature wine or your favorite beverage. I chose whiskey for my husband's favorite hard liquor.
3) AOCC22 - All Occasion Card Challenge/ 5/1/22. An ongoing/monthly challenge that encourages you to set goals ahead for each month to help you complete and mail your cards more timely! I'm preparing for Father's Day early! Much needed card in June.
4) USEIT2022 - Use It Challenge/ 5/1/22. An ongoing/ annual challenge that requires you to use OLD/ DUSTY and long unused items and/or OLD/NEW items purchased, never used, and seemingly forgotten! I'm preparing for Father's Day early! NEW/OLD: Whiskey Business (purchased 5/14/20)! It was time to use it!
5) MMTPT712 - Teapot Challenge/ Stitches for Sharon - 3/15/22. Challenge: put stitches on your card...stitch variety...your choice. I used a stitched rectangular die for the bottom sentiment underlay. It is difficult to see on the Early Espresso cardstock.
6) MMJ029 - Messy, Mixed & Joyful Challenge/ Choose Your Mix - 10/1/21. Challenge: you choose your mixed media project. I chose white heat embossing using an Emboss Resist technique, dye-based ink brush blending and stamping, pigment ink edge distressing, water-base markers for "whiskey" and Copic markers to color highball glass and whiskey decanter.
7) F4A595 - Free 4 All Challenge/ Beverage - 7/16/21. Challenge: put a beverage on your card. How 'bout a Whiskey Highball!
MIX439 - Mix-ability Challenge/ What Rhymes with Orange?...No It Doesn't! - 6/25/21. Challenge: use a punny sentiment or color orange; bonus do both. I think I've met the bonus round. My sentiment is definitely punny and my sponging over the white embossed highball glasses on the left is a shade of orange.
9) CAS641 - Clean & Simple Challenge/ Dad Jokes - 6/7/21. Challenge: make a funny...corny card for Dad. My card has a fun pun sentiment..."whiskey" for "risky."
10) IC792 - Inspiration Challenge/ Zabana Jewellery - 2/6/21. On the company website and/or Pinterest Boards, find something that gives you inspiration. I found color inspiration with this link from Zabana Jewellery: Colour Palette #1413!
11) FS702 - Featured Stamper/ derck (aka Debra) - 7/19/20. Browse gallery selected and find a card to CASE with at least two changes. I found this card with its lovely color scheme: Friendship Post! I used her colors or blends of her colors, but changed theme, layout. Though I used stamping, I colored with Copics or used white embossing and ink blending.
12) WT775 - Ways to Use It Challenge/ White Embossing - 1/16/20. Challenge: use the white embossing technique. My highball glasses on the left use the white embossed resist technique.
13) DINSP0819 - Fan Club Monthly Themes--August 2019/ Contain Yourself - 8/15/19. Monthly challenge open to Fan Club members only with five challenges for each month's theme. Challenge theme: 3-dimensional spaces...shakers, boxes, vases, containers, etc. My card depicts a whiskey decanter and is for the Inspiration Picture challenge. The row of vases inspired me to make a Father's Day card with a container on it.
14) MSP14 - Misti Monday Challenge/ Layered Collage Look - 10/1/18. Challenge sponsored by My Sweet Petunia, the maker of the MISTI Stamping Tool. I started with a brushed, ink-blended background, followed by white heat embossing, stamping, and Copic coloring.

Very cool card especially for Father's Day. Love the white embossed glasses on the one side offsetting your beautifully colored images on the other. Fabulous punny sentiment. Awesome card.

Ha, reminds me of the time my dh was one of the chaperones on a Scouting weekend. They all took up a collection to go to the liquor store, lol. after the kids were in bed. This is a great Father's Day card, Carlene. Wonderful coloring and layout!
