This week we are finding inspiration in the gallery of the newest Featured Stamper, CAR372. Lots of beautiful cards with butterflies and that's exactly what I needed. This is the one that inspired me: SC804 better with you by CAR372 at Splitcoaststampers
Similar to CAR372's card, I have a panel that runs along the right edge of the card although mine is suppose to be a bell rather than her rectangle. I also have three butterflies, but I changed the colors, the placement of the sentiment and added flowers.
One of my friends has just completed a grueling 12 session chemotherapy regime. At her infusion center, they have this wonderful ceremony where patients who complete the full course get to "ring the bell" while the staff gathers to cheer them on. I wanted to send her a card to commentate the event.
I downloaded a simple outline of a bell from the internet; cut it out of white card stock and stamped the floral design. To help make it look a bit more like a bell, I cut a curve from the bottom of that bell. I then cut a second bell, shaded the bottom with very light gray Copics and layered the two pieces together. It helped, but I think it still needs a clapper. Unfortunately, clappers are not part of my skill set, so I hope she can figure out it's suppose to be a bell. LOL. I printed this well used but so appropriate sentiment on cardstock using Luna and Brittney fonts and then cut it with the wavy frame. Direct to paper with the green ink for the edges; glued everything down and added the three butterflies cut from glitter paper for a bit of festive sheen.
Congratulations CAR372 on being selected Featured Stamper this week. I hope you enjoy your week in the spotlight and the many cards inspired by your wonderful Gallery.
I am so inspired by the courage and grace of my friend as she endured a really really tough regime with so much pep and optimism. I hope I show as much grit and grace in my times of trial. I hope you find grit and grace when you need it too. TFL.

Debbie, this is such a lovely and vibrant card. I love how the color of the flowers, butterflies and sentiment pop on the white background. And....I love the bell shape!
