There is Bohemian and then there is bohemian. Isn't that a deep subject?!
This is my project for Rebekah's VSN-bohemian style, which to me means colorful, artistic, lots of patterns, found objects maybe from traveling. If you are a bohemian, you are a wanderer, probably artistic. I'd like to be more of a wanderer and I try to be artistic. I combined this challenge with yesterday's IC: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/392305817522805352/
and today's FS....lots of fun card, Maggie: Heartfelt Blooms by mschoener at Splitcoaststampers
I think it's obvious where I went with the inspiration photo....lots of texture, color and I used fabric on my cardstock (fabric purchased at the $1.25 Tree; gosh, it was always so much easier to say dollar store). Do you remember when beaded trim was popular? Well I've got a ton of it, some packages never opened. That is what is at the top. I used a few other trims I have had for years, a crocheted shade pull on the right and an old earring from my Grandma's play jewelry box. I remember there were several colors of these earrings. I doubt she ever wore them, too prim and proper, so where they came from, no idea.
Now we finally get to Maggie's card...well, there is a little pink but mainly, I used the same stamp for the focal image. Her's is very elegant in one color, I used about 5 colors, along with some platinum ep around the edges, fussy cut. A few seed beads are glued in the middle. Not sure what this is, no sentiment yet, it isn't even on a card base yet as there was so much drying time for the gluing. But I had fun! Thanks for challenges Rebekah, Stacy and Julie.
By the way, bohemian has nothing to do with Bohemia, which is a large part of what is now the Czech Republic. I know that because of my ex-husband's mom, 100% Bohemian. It was also used as a pejorative term for gypsies.

Well, to borrow a phrase from Lisa (ShoeGirl) -- WOWSA! You nailed artistic and you definitely nailed all three challenges. And, I love the bit of info as well as I had thought Bohemian related to being from Bohemia. I did know it could be used in a pejorative manner, though. Now I'm better informed. Thanks for sharing both card and info.
