I made this background several weeks ago for the Chalk it Up challenge on Ways to Use It Thursday a few weeks back. I dry embossed plain white cardstock with the collage image folder, then shaved two different blue shade pastels using my xacto knife blade, making a small pile of each on a paper plate, then used a blending brush to spread and blend over the embossed piece, before spraying with workable fixative.
This was floating around my desk when I was contemplating what to make for the CAS challenge this week, where the theme was numbers. When I realized that the image had several numbers in it I decided to use it for my card. I glued it to a white card base. I stamped the sentiment in black ink on a small rectangle of white cardstock scrap, and layered it onto a slightly larger blue and white scrap. I glued the sentiment to the card front, and added several gem stickers in two shades of blue. I like how this turned out!
USEIT2022: using up a previously made background and several paper scraps that had been languishing on my desk.
