Again, working on CC900...6 different color combos. Three done, three to go. This is also for Joyce, our teaparty recipient whose husband died suddenly in April. She likes birds...a kindred spirit, I'd say, to many of us.
This was Karen's CC880-petal pink, flirty flamingo and soft sea foam. I don't have petal pink for whatever reason so the pink pirouette is a sub. I was trying for an ombre effect with the two pinks, all was ok until I thought the full strength pink pirouette would be lighter than the flirty flamingo...it was not. But I decided to go with it. I felt a darker neutral was needed so stamped and embossed the $1.25 store birds and flowers in night of navy and Versamark. Brayered some of the light pink on the background, also brayered on the green and cut the scalloped punch. There is glitter pen on the flowers, which would work for this past week's MIX-sparkling watercolors. I also used a little Lumiere pink paint in spots (hard to see). Finally this is for today's sketch...thanks, Lisa, well done.
