Congratulations to Ona (aka wombat146) as our Featured Stamper this week, FS801. Her digital scrapbook gallery is impressive, a whirlwind of family moments and her own inner journey. I adored every page!
I thought this would convert well to a birthday card, but (knowing my patience level) decided to punch half-circles of colored card stock to tape behind the open areas rather than filling each with a tiny triangle.
I had to have splatters because, well - I like splatters and they just might have tipped this project to my #1 position. The blossoms were an obvious choice, but mine are on a green rather than black background.

Gayle, this is such a lovely case of Ona's layout. You captured the theme, color combination and intricate die cut pattern. Your flowers and foliage are so pretty and I love the splatter. I love that you backed the die cut pattern with colored paper instead of attaching colored pieces in the opening. You created more interest and dimension to the project.

I guessed your inspiration piece right off because I loved that one too. And, I love what you have done with it. So smart to paste the colors behind the die cuts and not fuss with time consuming inlay -- neat trick and it looks great. Your florals are fab and the splatters just take it up a notch -- yep to #1 position for sure. Great card.
