WT900: WT900-Are You a Straight Arrow-6/9/22 by peeps321 at Splitcoaststampers
I wasnât going to make a card for this as weâre on vacation and commenting on the challenge may not be easy. But how could I miss challenge #900. I started playing at #161, started hosting at #414 I think. Iâve gone all reflective, and used the verse that my primary school teacher wrote in my autograph book, so I must have been about 9 or 10 at the time. The autograph book is long gone, but the verse has always stayed with me.
Inks on a gel plate for the background, then a stencil. Printed the quote, stamped the arrow (Verve, Words of Wisdom) all round the edge. And then thoughtâ¦added the leaves (shadow stamped in two shades of green, filled in with SN clear glitter pen) and the dragonfly (with Sakura Stardust pens and Stickles) from a magazine freebie. Pondered how to fill the bottom part - TH flourish stencil with crackle paste; Inka gold and wilted violet distress sponged over when dry. Added some dotted pen lines along some of the curves. Edged the panel with Inka gold and some random gold Stickles. The flowers are from MFT and were on my desk, coloured with Inktense. SU Beautiful Wings cut from a tomato paste tube and dabbed with pink and purple alcohol inks, tiny snippets of paper for the antennae. Spellbinders arrow cut from chipboard, two layers of gold ep and some verdigris EP sprinkled over it and heated again.

Fantastic idea to use this little saying from your childhood..very cool! I'm impressed with your handwriting..mine would not be so neat. You've got such wonderful details on this...my fav is the bottom with the paste and stencil.

Sabrina I absolutely love the sentiment on this card. Great arrows and a stunning card. Now I need to go back and see when I started uploading to the WTUI and hosting. LOL! You are great team member and leader for the WTUI and I am honored to be with you on this team.

What a unique and wonderful quote your teacher wrote for you. Quite magical. I still have my autograph book. Love all the details but particularly the gold arrow with the glittery bits on it. Fab card, Sabrina. Enjoy your holiday!

Is that teacher still with us? I think it would be wonderful to send it to them!
As always I love your little details like the crackle paint and the dots...you do have nice handwriting. A stamp could be made with it!
The little metal butterflies...pretty card.
