My card is for LeAnn's Color Challenge. She selected three terrific In Colors with DSP for the dessert option.
I used a retired stamp set that is new to me; I picked it up on eBay with my DH in mind. He was disabled in 2018 and had to retired from his engineering career. Since then, he has been experimenting with baking as a hobby. I tease him by saying he is now a kitchen engineer. It was difficult at first to let him invade "my kitchen" but, then I realized I can be the taste tester!
For my card, I chose images with affirming puns and one with a humorous slant. I stamped in each of the challenge colors. Unfortunately the sentiment stamp for the eggs was defective but I didn't realize it until after I tried to stamp it. After some effort, I got a decent stamping of it, cut it out & glued it on top. No mistakes in the stamp room or kitchen that cannot be fixed somehow or eaten up. LOL
I used Orchid Oasis striped and Sweet Sorbet plaid DSP with a strip of Starry Sky CS in between. The images were die-cut into stitched shapes. I embellished with In Color matte dots.
It was my hubby's idea to put a crack in one of the eggs to suggest "one in a dozen" . Even though he has already seen it, I will give this card to him for Father's Day. He has a good sense of humor and loves a good pun or recipe.
Have fun with the colors! I look forward to seeing what you create. TFL

What a clever and fun card for a cook! I especially like the crack in the egg. Diane, you know, mistakes are just an opportunity for embellishment, which is exactly what you did. The added-on greeting stands out and gives dimension!

Diane, I'm so happy you will be joining us permanently! I love all your cards, this one is no exception! I really got a chuckle from your write up about you and your husband in the kitchen! Teehee! The layout is super and the cracked egg tops everything off perfectly! TFS

Adorable use of today's colors! (They kinda made me think kitchen, too! hehe)
Thank you for your kind comments on my card for Nancy and promises of prayers for her family - I have no doubt they can use all the prayers they can get right now.
Thanks so much for sharing your great talents and kind heart with us, Diane!
