I posted some of my recent cards to Facebook today and got a request from a neighbor to make a graduation card as their niece who just graduated is coming through town this afternoon. She requested that I use the colors of the pan flag (which I had to Google!) which are magenta, yellow and cyan. I picked out some Colorbok watercolor papers that looked as close as possible to work with.
I die cut stars in each color and then die cut the interiors of some so I could make inlaid stars. I cut three sizes of stars from scraps of white cardstock to make bases for the inlaid stars, and then glued the three stars together.
While those dried I made a base card from white cardstock, cut a rectangle of cardstock 1/8 inch smaller and ran that piece through my embossing folder. Then I arranged the stars and attached with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and cut out with the Tailored Tag punch, then punched another tag from the yellow paper and cut it in half to glue to the back of the first tag to make a border. I stamped the sentiment inside (âeoeHow amazing you areâe ) and added a magenta strip cut from a scrap of the star paper.
Hope my friend and her niece both love it! TFL!
USEIT2022 - the sentiment stamps were a recent thrift store find, first time using! I used up some scraps and some more of the endless supply of Dollar Tree sequins!
