Inspired by My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #594, I pieced together loops from Altenew's Tangled Loops die to cover the top left with a roughly curved edge. The cake, candles and plate are from Simon Says Stamp's Fancy Cake die set. Because it's a two-layer cake and has a background layer of loops, I'm also entering it in SSS Monday Challenge, Layer it Up, and since everything but the card base is pieced together from scraps, I'm also entering it in Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero's May Challenge, Get Scrappy. Also entering it in Die Cut Divas' May Challenge, Anything Goes. https://www.mftstamps.com/blogs/news/wsc594 https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/w...layer-it-up-3/ https://heroarts.com/blogs/hero-arts...-may-challenge https://die-cut-divas.blogspot.com/2...all-month

Great Birthday card, especially nice to use as a "guy" card. I really like the loops in the upper left background, adding just enough to add depth and character. So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas June Challenge of “Anything Goes”. Arlene, DT for Die Cut Divas.

Oh my, this is adorable. Black decorative frosting, how unusual. It works! I love the die cuts in the background. They remind me of streamers. Excellent creation. Thanks for sharing.
