I made a card for both the TEchnique and CAS challenges. I started by doing the resist techniqueâI ink blended Mowed Lawn and Crushed Olive inks on a piece of white cardstock, then applied the honeycomb stencil and smeared Versafine clear ink over it, then embossed with clear powder. I rubbed wild wasabi ink over top and buffed the extra off the embossed sections.
The honeycomb design made me think of bees and reminded me of this set and I decided to use it to turn the background into a card. I stamped the Canvas background stamp onto a white card base with wild wasabi ink, and glued the ribbon across the bottom, then attached the embossed piece with foam tape.
I stamped the flower, bee, and sentiment in black onyx ink and heat embossed all three with clear powder. I watercoloredI die cut the flower and bee and used scissors to cut a shape around the greeting. I used a water brush and SU inks (Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, Crushed Curry, and Basic Gray) to color the flowers and bee before gluing to the card. I finished by gluing on several sequins.
My wife immediately snatched this card up to send to her mom for Mothers Day, so I guess itâs a success!

I like your two tone green effect. That was that one of my jungle leaf backgrounds I preferred the look of - so I'm not sure why I used the other one on my card. The pink flower and ribbon look great with it. And Canvas is great for gentle background texture.
