I really like this weekâs sketch and was shuffling through my stamps looking for something interesting to use as the row of objects across the bottom of the sketch. I found the Sweet Ice Cream set and realized that if I rotate the sketch, a tall ice cream cone would work perfectly! I bought the set last year from someone selling their bundle on EBay, so I got some of the DSP that went with it as well, and then I realized that if I cut my ice cream scoops out of the right bits of paper, I could make the card work for the color challenge as well.
I started with a kraft card base and cut some light tan cardstock slightly smaller, and dry embossed it with the brick wall folder and attached to the card. I cut some of the sprinkles printed paper and some darker green card stock and layered them together, then glued to the tan layer. I stamped the cone texture on the tan cardstock and die cut the cone out, then cut 4 ice cream scoops from patches of green and pink in the designer paper. I stacked them up and attached with foam tape.
The Sweet Ice Cream birthday sentiment didnât fit the space I had, so I stamped the one from Sentimental Swirls in coffee ink on the light tan cardstock, and stamped the Other sentiment under that and cut out a rectangle with the sentiments. I layered that onto a mat of the darker green cardstock and attached with foam tape. I had some dessertâgem stickers in coordinating colors so I attached several to finish off the card.
USEIT2022 - First time using the ice cream set and paper, also using some pretty recent gem stickers. The brick folder is an older item and that coffee ink dates back to my earliest stamping days, still going strong!
