I had the new Waves set that I wanted to use that seemed to fit this theme perfectly, so. Made a similar card while improvising with what I had on hand to create the porthole window effect, changed the shape to a rectangular card and added a sentiment on the front of the card.
I started by dry embossing a rectangle of brown cardstock with the wood grain folder. I used two circle dies to cut a ring of silver cardstock, then used the smaller circle to cut a hole in the wood cardstock. I glued sequins around the edge of the silver ring and glued the ring over the window opening.
On a piece of âWavesâ designer paper, I stamped the wave image using a combination of Pool Party and Bermuda Bay inks and added the seagulls in black ink, then cut the image to size and glued to a white card base. I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock scrap and die cut the tag. I attached the tag to the wood grain piece with foam tape and threaded twine through the ends, attaching the ends of the twine to the back of the wood grain piece. I finished by attaching the piece to the card front, centered over the wave âwindowâ image.
Hope itâs been a fun week as Featured Stamper Vicky!

Great porthole card and kudos on creating the porthole with your existing stash. It looks great. I love the scene out your porthole,. The wave stamp on the dp is excellent. Wonderful card.
