More details on my blog Kath's Blog Everyday Life Of A Crafter
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to create 3 - 4.3/4" x 6.3/4" panels and coloured with Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide ink using one of my favourite techniques. I smooshed the ink pad on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water, picked up the ink with a piece of acetate, pressed on to the panel and repeated until I was happy with the backgrounds.
I applied Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink through the Tiles Mini Layering Stencil from Set 9 and Dusty Concord through the Bubbles Mini Layering Stencil from Set 5 using Distress Blender Brushes.
I stamped the sentiments from Simon Says Life Is A Party, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival.
Then it was time to die-cut the wild and wonderful stars of the show and woohoo, I love that the big platform on the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Switch let me cut all the pieces for each character in one pass.
die-cut Gertrude, Winifred and Harrison Colorize Thinlits using different colours from packs of Sizzix Cardstock and assembled.
I fixed to the panels using foam adhesive to create dimension
I die-cut the leaves from Distress Watercolor card coloured with Peeled Paint and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide inks and Sizzix dark green cardstock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Funky Foliage Thinlits.
I fixed the foliage in place using Distress Collage Medium, applying adhesive to only the bottom section of the leaves and curled them up to create dimension. I added splatters of Walnut Stain Distress Paint.
To finish, I matted the panels on to 5" x 7â white card blanks covered with Distress Kraft HeavyStock
