I used a modified approach since I don't have any large word stamps that have "shadow" outlines like she uses. Instead I created a die cut circle shape that goes through all the layers of the card (even the back!). It makes quite an unexpected impact when you pick it up and realize you are seeing all the way through it!
The "Congrats" word was die cut using a QuicKutz die from Stampin' Up! (SU) Calypso Coral cardstock. I then scanned the die cut word using my Brother ScanNCut, and using the digital cutter's features added a 0.04" border around the entire word. I then cut two blank copies of this outline shape and glued them stacked to the back of the die cut word.
I won't go into detail about how to make the see-thru card since Jennifer does such an excellent job of it. So please visit her blog for photos and a video tutorial.
I am rating the difficulty level for this card as a "2" out of a possible "5" if you already have a large word die that also has a shadow die paired with it. It's only a little more difficult if you have to use a cutting machine like I did. If you want to using a cutting machine to cut only the shape in all the multiple layers of your card, it will require a lot of careful measuring and placement of the cutout shape. I'd say this would be a difficulty of "4".
I think this card would be good for a birthday, anniversary, or any other occasion where you want to congratulate someone for some special reason.
