This week we have the pleasure of viewing the beautifully crisp, clean designs of our newest Featured Stamper, Wendy (aka Mingo). I loved many of her designs and cards but landed on this one because I wanted to use my newish birdie die: In Colour Free as a Bird by Mingo at Splitcoaststampers
Since I loved her design, I stayed pretty true to the original keeping the bird, the blue and white colors and an embossed panel. I added some foliage and an extra circle.
I wanted my bird to look like a bluebird and Googled images. They have a brownish craw and belly fading to white. This was my first time using this die and I wish I had blended the ink a bit more into the head. I tried to fix it after it was glued, but that really wasn't working well so I stopped and went with it as is. Originally I cut a larger circle but thought it was too big so I went with the smaller one. After I laid it out I decided I need a bit more heft behind the bird so I cut a thin circle with the HA Infinity dies. I really like that bit of white showing between the two circles. I decided to add some foliage for a bit of interest and that's pretty much it.
Congratulations Wendy on being this week's Featured Stamper. I do hope you enjoy viewing the many cards you have inspired this week. Today is Easter. I wish all of you many blessings and joy as we celebrate with family and friends. For those of you who do not observe this holiday, I wish you many blessings and joy as well. We need all the love and joy we can muster these days. TFL.

Gorgeous! The bird is colored beautifully, and the dry embossed BG is excellent. Blue and white is a favorite color combo...

What a fab bird die, Debbie, and you colored it up so well. Great focal point and super texture. One fab birthday card/case. It is going to thrill someone. Many hug and hope you had a lovely Easter.

Debbie, we both chose the same card to case! Your card is lovely! I love your SS bird die .... it's adorable! Your circle elements are the perfect way to showcase your bird. Really like your selection of the forest branches embossing folder for your background!

So lovely! I adore the colouring on the bird, and really like the combination of the vellum and white cardstock. It really softens up the look of the greenery on the 'nest. Thanks for sharing!
