Congrats to Kristine for being this week's Featured Stamper! You have a lovely gallery and I hope you enjoy your week in the spotlight. I chose this card for my inspiration.
I kept the oval, the crocuses and the purple, yellow and green colors and I substituted the blue for cream. I did not use the stair step special fold or designer paper. My flowers were die cut and colored.
I used a cream cardbase, a deep purple mat to cover the whole front of the card and a cream textured panel centered on the card. The cream panel was die cut, I glued it over the purple mat, allowing the purple mat to show through. I die cut the crocuses and leaves from white cardstock and colored them using finger daubers. I arranged the crocuses in a little cluster and glued them down.
I left the sentiment off the front so the card could be enjoyed on a mantel all month for Spring, not just for couple of days to celebrate a birthday.
Thanks so much for looking!

This is beautiful. I love the colors you achieved on the crocus with the sponging. That die cut pattern is equally beautiful and frames your bouquet wonderfully. I like that you made this to be enjoyed for all of Spring instead of just a few days. It's definitely too pretty to be put away. Great card.
