This is my card for Brian to sooth his soul while recovering from radiation treatments. Like Brian Block Island was a favorite place for me in my childhood, moreover just being at the beach was my favorite place to be to this day. Lighthouses are my favorite. I have many replicas in my house and in my yard.
I used Hunky Dory's nautical themed ideas vol 14. It is the 1st card since my surgery. The anchor came with the kit and was cut from gold paper .

I'm glad we could send so many paper hugs to Brian to cheer him on. I've really enjoyed looking through the gallery and I'm sure Brian is enjoying getting the mail this week. So happy that you are feeling well enough to get back into creating with this great card!

Super shape, I like the open frame around the lighthouse and your great wave ef. I'm glad the chicken and soup arrived ...and to see you back stamping again.

Gorgeous card and it certainly conveys a sense of serenity and peace. Perfect for anyone looking to soothe their soul. I love the arched panels you added and the dsp is fabulous. So happy you feel up to crafting again and how wonderful that the first card is to support and embrace a family member. I hope Brian enjoys all the paper hugs coming his way. I have no doubt he will adore this one.

Stunning creation and so perfect for the challenge. It must feel great to be back crafting! I am recovering from carpal tunnel surgery and can't wait to get back to my stamp room : )
