I had a good long time to play in my craft room today and it was a good thing because it was one of those days that it seemed to take forever to make a card I didnât immediately toss in the recycling! I had a really hard time finding a combination of embossing folders I liked for this technique. I finally tried doing a brick wall on some brick-colored cardstock, then double embossing with the snowflake folder and swiping white ink over the snowflakes, then heat embossing with pearl white powder. The pearl powder is translucent so it came up a bit funny where the ink hit the brick wall but I still like the overall effect of Christmas magic in as somewhat grimy city setting.
I finished by attaching the background to a kraft card and adding the (previously stamped and colored) Penny Black image with foam tape, I stamped the sentiment in black ink, cut it out and attached with foam tape.

Your card is simply adorable! I liked how you double embossed the background. Those two e.f. go together perfectly! The little one looks so cute in his/her winter outfit, too.
