This week the Teapotters are sending paper hugs and encouragement to John, who recently lost his wife of 50+ years. He likes golf and "typical man things". For me, that means a day in nature boating, fishing or hunting. I settled on just enjoying nature.
The card is straightforward. Ink bg for the water and sky; added the die cuts and matted.
Being in nature is always a balm for my soul. I hope it is for John. I hope he enjoys all the lovely cards being showered on him this week and that the various scenes will bring him a smile and maybe a bit of peace. I hope you find a bit of peace in your life this week too. TFL

You have created a very peaceful scene here, Debbie! I like the texture of the various cardstocks - it really adds depth. I am sure this will be a favorite for John.

I agree, Deb, that being in nature is a balm to the soul .... what a calming card you've created for John! Love the die cut images and the texture .... this is outstanding!

this is truly peaceful... the deer look like they don't have a care in the world. I like the cardstock you used on the trees, gives them realistic bark. Great card, John will appreciate it.

This would totally be a fave for my husband. He likes to do exactly what you described - just be out in nature. (He also likes to deer hunt...) Wonderful scene!!

Lovely scene....those deer are wonderful. I haven't seen those dies before. I like how the one on the left is looking in the opposite direction perhaps watching out for his family. Nature has healing properties...I'm sure John will appreciate this.

Your die-cut scene is perfect! Love how you layered the pieces. It looks so dimensional. Both sky and water are so realistic and make for a beautiful BG.
