I haven't looked at the gallery yet but I would think there would be a fair amount of frogs and 'leaping lizards', so I wanted to do something different. No way did I think I'd find a quote about 'leaping' cheese. Clifton Fadiman was an American intellectual, author, editor, radio and television personality. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University, would have liked to be a continual scholar but was told at graduation that the English Department 'only had room for one Jew' and another young man was chosen. He worked for 10 years as the chief editor at Simon and Schuster. He was responsible for Ripley's Believe It or Not! becoming a book and he also gave his college friend, Whittaker Chambers, a chance to translate from German into English a little book by Felix Salten. The book was 'Bambi' and became an instant success.
The World Championship Cheese Contest will take place Tuesday-Thursday in Madison, WI. 64 Wisconsin companies are competing. We take our cheese seriously, are willing to clog our arteries with cheese curds and I thought it was fortuitous to have found this Fadiman quote. I don't know if cheese could ever be immortal, although it does last a long time. Just cut off that mold and dig in! Club Scrap, a WI company, created this set of cheesy stamps and I had to have them. My Dad only bought cheese from cheese factories up north and I learned to love strong, aged cheese. My favorite cheese is swiss but I do love a very aged sharp cheddar and I love bleu cheese.

Wow, thanks for the education! I loved reading about Clifton Fadiman. I also loved hearing about the cheese Championship. Cheese is just about my most favourite edible ever. Certainly in the dairy line for sure. Love your card!!

I love your take on this challenge and enjoyed reading your details, Jean. This is a fabulous CAS card! My favourite cheese is definitely a soft Brie but I have to limit my intake of cheese - and I love most cheeses - due to lactose intolerance~
