Congrats to Deb Mauch (dcmauch), this week's wonderful featured stamper chosen by Kittie. There are so many wonderful cards to inspire in your gallery, Deb. I fell for this beauty: Happy Birthday To a Wild Red Rose by dcmauch at Splitcoaststampers and may case it exactly as Deb did it but had to make changes for FS, so here they are:
Used dp instead of all white; made a birthday card but different sentiment, diff. bling and no ribbon.
This will be a card for my friend Sue whose birthday is in Dec. and she has told me she has traced her roots back to Mary Queen of Scots, so hence the plaid. I meant to do the rose to one side, but a maddening unremovable mark happened and had to shift everything over. So, I was rather choked that you cannot really see the scalloped angled die very much at all.
I stamped my leaves stamps with versamark on shaded spruce and diecut them, flower is popped up with dimensionals.
Enjoy your much deserved time in the spotlight, Deb!
Oh, and this is for Ann's Alpha N challenge for Nostalgia. It is a bit of a stretch but I looked up the meaning and one part said "Often nostalgia inspires positive emotions- a sense of meaningfulness, or life purpose, social connection and optimism." And reading that reminded me of Sue who is good at social connection and optimism.

When I opened the gallery this morning and saw this I thought what a wonderful card. Now I can see it better and know it's yours. It's such a beautifull card for your friend. I love the colours you chose. Plaid always looks so good on a card. Happy day and hugs

Shirl, this is a beautiful case of Deb's card and a real beauty on its own. I love the pretty decorative designer paper and your flower and foliage is wonderful.

Beautiful card for a beautiful person. I love that you used the plaid for her connection to Mary Queen of Scots -- how fun!. Beautiful flower and great coloring. I laughed when you said you were "rather chocked" because I hadn't heard the phrase before, but I have so ever many uses for that, especially when I'm making cards. I think it will become my new favorite saying. Fabulous card.

So pretty! Love the bright and eye-catching posy. And I hear you on the frustrations of having to redesign something that was 'perfect' in your mind's eye because of an ink blob or other 'embellishment opportunity'. It's how I roll.
