For this week's Tea Party we are sending cards featuring our favorite tea time treats along with recipes. I recently dined at the Los Rios Tea House in San Juan Capistrano, where they do a proper tea, complete with personal pots of tea in a variety of china patterns and, of course, scones with clotted cream and jam!! I heat embossed the platter in silver and piled tiny triangles sponged with Creamy Caramel on it. This DSP reminded me of both their lovely wallpapers (different in each room!) and some of the china patterns. I am sending along my own scone recipe.

That vintage looking dp is so pretty! I love the plate that your scones are on. What fun it would be to go to a tea like that...sounds like a lovely place.

Such a lovely feminine card but I shouldn't be surprised since it was based on a tea house decor. Those places typically cater to women and so does this card - Just beautiful.

Your DP is beautiful and would make beautiful wallpaper (although after having stripped wallpaper off too many walls, I'm done with it for good, whether it's trendy or not.) My husband loves scones and makes them for breakfast on special mornings, like Christmas.

A lovely old-fashioned paper and lace background, perfect as a setting for your scones. I actually made some just recently to use up buttermilk that was in the fridge. The tea house sounds really lovely.

Wow, I love everything about this card - the handmade sponged scones, crocheted lace with flowers on it, silver platter, and that gorgeous background paper - a 10 for sure!
