This is my sample for CC884. I am your hostess this week and I chose pumpkin pie, so saffron and highland heather for my color trio. Dessert Option this week is any designer paper.
My card took a lot of twists and turns this week. I picked this designer paper for the colors, and I had a layout in my mind. Then it changed completely, and I ended up with a fun fold center step layout.
The background designer paper reminds me of the tulip fields in the Netherlands. Never been there just have seen photos. The paper is from the Stampin' Up "flowering fields" collection.
So, with the Netherlands as my inspiration, I decided to add a windmill that I cut in the challenge colors from a CottageCutz die. The Easter phrase is another CottageCutz die. I cut in highland heather cardstock then sponged with the same ink to get a deeper shade.
I used an older stamp set from SNSS for the bottom panel of the card, and I added a few tulips to finish it off.
Hope you find some time to play along with us this week. I look forward to seeing all the creations in the color challenge gallery.

I always love a special fold, and this center step card just makes me smile! What a beautiful bevy of tulips, Mary! The windmill goes perfectly, and they combine to make a great Easter card!

Mary, looks like we had the same thing in mind on designer paper! I love your take with the windmill, it's stunning! Thank you for clarifying 'any designer paper', I was worried I wouldn't be within the guide lines! Thank you for sharing your beautiful Easter card!
