I started out planning to combine the Friday challenge to use a background stamp and the no-sentiment challenge from today, but things didnât play out that wayâ¦
I started with the lovely moss green card stock as a base card, then stamped the venerable Hero Arts shadow stamp background on a scrap of oatmeal colored cardstock. I used clear embossing ink to stamp the shamrocks in the squares, alternating between a solid shamrock and an open filigree type one. Then I added embossing powder and heat embossed.
At this point I noticed that the very first shamrock had only stamped about half an imageâoh no! I thought about cutting off the top row and going with nine squares but I liked the card so far too much to change it. Instead I stamped the sentiment on a bit of the oatmeal cardstock using SU old Olive ink, cut it into a banner, and added it to the card front, strategically placed to cover the blighted shamrock! I finished by added a sparkly dot sticker to the banner.
USEIT2022: first use of that shadow square background in many a year! Also, paper scraps!
