What a wonderful gift - thanks, Margot! I just need to make another three of these and then I'm on target for my January quota of cards - but I only had one layered gesso background sitting on my desk ( Layered Gesso Background Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers ). You might not be able to tell but the sentiment is embossed in gold. Originally I had no sentiment, but it needed something. I was going to put it in the centre of the ornament, I might try that when I get to the rest of them, which will probably just be on a vintage DP.
Gesso, stamped script in Blue Lagoon Versafine and off the grid in Smokey Grey. Two shades of acrylic paint added with a babywipe. Plain texture paste through a diamond stencil. Then the Inka and metallic rub-ons.

Beautiful! I love the white on blue layered ornament! I had my eye on these dies when BP had a sale going on, but couldn't justify the purchase for myself right before the holiday. The pine branch with the touch of snow looks very real.
