Used tracing paper to get the right outline for my blue bird but then went for it with my pencil and watercolours. I saw my first kingfisher in the last few years and every time I spot one I am so excited as they like quiet sections of the river bank and move quickly if spooked. Despite the old song about Bluebirds over the white cliffs of Dover we don't actually get Bluebirds in the UK which is why I chose to paint this really special bird.

Ooh, that is a beautiful bird, Janine. And, I sure didn't mind you painting that one. You created a beautiful card with your choice. I know it is very special to you and I hope you enjoyed the video. We all learn from them.

Gorgeous bird Jean! I love the kingfishers at the lake though am much more likely to hear one than see one. We only have one species here and they aren't as colourful as yours. Lovely card!
