I looked through my 2012 uploads and there were quite a few it would have been fun to run with - maybe if I have more time over the weekend. But the one that most sparked me was my first attempt at Magical Masking Tape for TLC373: TLC373 Tape Stripes by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers
Unfortunately I could only find 1 1/2" masking tape this afternoon. I used three colours of DOX for my background. Stamped the script down the green strip , then stencilled the ginkgo leaves with texture paste, sprinkled assorted embossing powders on and heated till the paste bubbled. Then I used double-sided tape and fine glitter to add a strip. Picking up on the original, I used a peg stamp to stamp little leafy tendrils in between the embossed leaves.
The leaf with the sentiment is in fact a leftover from one of Dina's tutorials, but I'd have to rummage through my cards again to remember which. It's been in the box on my desk for several years now, and was just the right size to fit the verse. Instead of a butterfly, I added a little ladybird to the leaf.

I love the warm colors here, Sabrina; this card just seems to glow! A beautiful combination of color, script and sparkle. And I do love the tiny ladybug (as we call them on this side of the pond!).

Awesome Sabrina! You certainly ramped up that technique in this card. I love the increased depth of the colours, the fabulous gingko leaves, and the scripture verse from Jeremiah. We had a study on Jeremiah last year.... powerful verse

I love the gilded edges and learning about the technique of heating the texture paste with EP. The ladybug is just as cute as can be on this great mixed media card.

Love everything about this. That sweet little ladybug just draws the focus to the sentiment. A good reminder to pull out my Verve stamps - still one of my fave stamp companies.

This is beautiful. I love the fall tones and the idea of the embossing of the leaves and the glitter strip as I often do that myself and the little ladybug.
