Here is my sample for the Color Challenge hosted by LeAnn. She gave us beautiful colors this week with a dessert option of using your favorite green. This choice was a perfect chance to use a favorite retired color: Wild Wasabi.
Last week was extra busy as we helped our DD with her move and had several days of dog-sitting her puppy. I was tired. The challenge colors are terrific and I thought they would be good for some much needed birthday cards. Keeping it simple with some paper and ink seemed like the thing to do.
I have not done a One Sheet Wonder in a long time, so I picked a floral stamp set and stamped all over an 8.5 x 11 piece of Basic White cardstock. I focused on the Gorgeous Grape with smaller images in Crushed Curry & my dessert green. The Smokey Slate is in the centers of the yellow flowers and the stamped splatter. The panel was so pretty after it was all stamped. It was hard, but I cut it up. And then I began designing my cards. It was fun to arrange the layout and to decorate each card a little differently with added die-cut flower & leaves and butterflies. It actually rejuvenated me. Wink of Stella was applied in the flower centers and traced over the purple Happy. The white Happy is heat embossed.
Pictured here are four of the six cards that I made. I had a few scraps left over for the inside.
I am happy to add to my birthday card stash with these gorgeous colors. I hope you join in and that you have as much fun as I did. I look forward to seeing what you create! TFL

Each one is a beautiful work of art. Making one card nearly causes me to loose my mind, and here you made six cards after a busy week. That green is one of my favorites and looks wonderful with the grape and curry.

These lovely cards just make me happy to look at them! It's no wonder that you felt rejuvenated after creating your one-sheet-wonder, Diane, these cards are GORGEOUS! I just pulled out my Biggest Wish stamp set today and now you've inspired me to try to combine that set with some hand-made patterned paper!
