I tend to use this stamp once in the winter, especially as we get close to spring. But, you know, you can't hurry any season and we need to find joy right in the moment. My joy is that my heating is working, I'm wearing my boots and hat in the house, I have plenty of hot coffee and tea, I have an electric blanket for watching TV, and I have no place to go...it is 3 degrees right now in SE WI. Could be worse, northern WI had minus 23 this morning. All of these thoughts are for yesterday's tea party-HOPE!!!!!
This is also for yesterday's colors-petal pink, flirty flamingo and soft seafoam. I thought they'd work well for 'hoping for spring.' Don't put too much credence to what that groundhog says next Wednesday...spring will always be 6 weeks away. I didn't have petal pink so I subbed polished pink and blushing bride mixed together. Flirty flamingo has a bit of orange in it so it's a nice contrast to the pinks, which are all on the squares. I inked up a bit of cardstock with the soft seafoam for cutting my little funky leaves. The Sizzix folk flowers set is new to me and I love it! Flowers are vanilla with some WOS on top. For the sketch, I made it CAS, skipping the square around the diamond. Was going to draw a square, could still do that but didn't want to mess with it. To make it a bit more special, I'll put another sentiment inside with a few more diecuts in the colors. I added just a few tiny clear gems. Thanks, I had fun as usual!

What a fun idea to make cut outs like this -- very well done!

I've never heard that saying before, but it's truly wonderful! I love how you layered the sketch, with the center panel recessed and the sides popped up!!

How do you all survive in that weather -- I freeze when the thermometer hits 50! I am in awe.
And once again you have created a lovely and insightful card. Another fabulous quote. If I just save all your cards, I will have a reference compendium for beautifully displayed and inspiring quotes. Love the design and how you used the colors. Wonderful card.

Jean, I love your take on this sketch, making it nice and clean with lots of white, That quote is one of my favorites. A lovely , springy card.
I agree with you, though that it's good to appreciate each season. We've had several days of snow here and it's beautiful outside. 9 degrees when I walked our dog this morning in Kalamazoo, MI. It's into the '20's now, at 3:00 p.m.
